UMEE Ltd (Formerly Melbourne University Private Ltd)

UMEE Ltd (UMEE) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Melbourne (the University). It is the corporate vehicle through which the University's research, customised education programs, courseware and software technologies, and consulting commercialisation activities are managed and supported. The following Business Units deliver these services:

 Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs is a commercial business and academic school of the University of Melbourne. It provides the mechanism for the development and delivery of demand driven, customised corporate award and non award programs, and provides consultancy management and support services to staff at the University.

 Curriculum Licensing Services (incorporating Software Commercialisation Services) manages the intellectual property issues, showcasing and commercial distribution of the University's curriculum materials (including multimedia courseware and specialised software technologies)

 Melbourne Ventures Pty Ltd focuses on research commercialisation advice, deal development, support and management. It manages associated intellectual property, licences and investments, and provides new venture support.

 The University of Melbourne Shepparton Medical Centre will open in October 2009. This purpose-built teaching clinic will be located in Graham Street, Shepparton

The Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs, Curriculum Licensing Services and the Shepparton Medical Centre are business divisions within UMEE, with Melbourne Ventures Pty Ltd being a wholly owned subsidiary of UMEE (the Business Units).

Corporate Services Department

Corporate Services provides comprehensive facilities management, finance, human resource management and information technology (IT) services to the business units and, with the exception of IT services, also to Melbourne Ventures Pty Ltd. Its key objective is to provide high quality and timely service, within budget, to its internal clients with differing locations and requirements.

The registered office location of UMEE Ltd is the Hawthorn Campus.
